Elektra is a heavyweight, waxed, water-repellent women's parka with two double pockets and chest pockets on the front, an adjustable strap at the back, and easy-grip buckles on the sleeves, two buttoned pockets, and a detachable internal carrying strap . The oversized hood features a drawstring and leather adjusters from Ondura. The outer fabric is Halley Stevensons' 405 g/m² P270 Dry, a heavyweight, waxed outdoor fabric. It is rewaxable, dirt-repellent, and sponge-cleanable. The jacket is lined with Halley Stevensons' water- and wax-resistant Royal Stuart tartan, a Steiff teddy bear in the hood, quilted lining in the sleeves, and trimmed with black corduroy from Brisbane Moss.

The performance padding from Freudenberg is light, breathable and made from recycled polyester.
